FAQs
Who can participate in Spectrum Day Out excursions?
Spectrum Day Out is meant for individuals on the spectrum to get out, make friends, and learn new things in a supportive environment.
The team-to-participant ratio is 1:10, which means that for every ten participant, at least one team member will be present to support the group. Each participant can invite one friend or family member to accompany them on the excursion. If you need more personalized support, please get in touch.
For most events, participants need to be able to stand and walk for at least three hours.
If you have questions and would like to make sure our excursions can accommodate you, just get in touch.
Do I need to register for an outing?
Yes, pre-registration is required as spots are limited for each outing. We recommend signing up early to secure your place.
What kind of support is available during the day trips?
Our team members attend all outings to facilitate social connections, provide structure when needed, and ensure everyone has a positive experience. However, we don’t provide one-on-one personal assistance.
Participants who need individual supports need to be accompanied by their own support staff or a family member.

Do you provide transportation?
Yes, transportation is included from our meeting point to the destination and back. Find out more details like times and locations for each excursion in our event calendar.
How much do these excursions cost?
Most of the Spectrum Day Out excursion cost anywhere between $0 and $50. Check out the description for the event you’d like to attend for more detailed price information.
What happens if we registered but can't attend?
If you registered for an excursion but can’t make it after all, please let us know as soon as possible so someone else can take your spot.
