Join us for lunch at historic Schaefer’s Canal House in Chesapeake City, Maryland – followed by a scenic cruise along the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal.
About this event
Welcome to a special day in Chesapeake City, Maryland! This charming historic town is known as the “Hidden Treasure of the Chesapeake.”
On this trip, you’ll:
- Take a boat cruise on the “M/V Summer Breeze” along the C & D Canal
- Explore the historic waterfront area
- Eat a delicious buffet lunch at Schaefer’s Canal House, a restaurant with beautiful views of the water
The boat has comfortable seating inside with large windows, so you can enjoy the views even if the weather isn’t perfect. There’s also a restroom on board. The boat is wheelchair accessible.
During our cruise, we might see cargo ships, container ships, barges, and even U.S. Navy vessels. You might also spot wildlife like Bald Eagles, Blue Herons, and Ospreys, so bring binoculars if you have them!
Start location: White Marsh, MD (Park and Ride at 8476 Honeygo Blvd)
What to bring: A light jacket and sun protection. Optional: camera and/or binoculars.
